It was a fun feeling to have no plans for the day. Whitefish is a recreation town. Just outside is Big Mountain and the Whitefish Ski Resort. It also lies along the beautiful Whitefish Lake for\u00a0boating and fishing. There are also several other lakes nearby.<\/p>\n

\"IMG_8157a<\/a>We decided to head for the mountain and take the ski lift to the top for a view of the mountains. Looking at the slopes on the way up, I was surprised how steep they were! I couldn’t walk down them, much less ski (if I could ski)!<\/p>\n

After taking in the view, we decided to take a back road around the lake before heading south. The map looked like we could take the road all the way to the highway, but we ran into a long dead end. No problem! We had no schedule, so we just turned around and headed back.<\/p>\n

Next stop? Not sure!<\/p>\n
