We started off Monday with brunch of Swedish pancakes with cloud berry and other \u00a0jams and whipped cream. \u00a0They are thin and light and delicious! \u00a0I like them better than American pancakes, since\u00a0they are not so heavy. \u00a0On the other hand, I could eat too many of\u00a0them! \u00a0Joel came by with his cousin Samuel, whom we’d met in Pajala.<\/p>\n

Joel and Samuel did some work in the garden, including digging in the hole that Tim intends to become a pond, and they put up the tepee, which will stay up for the balance of the summer.<\/p>\n Li was also with us, and Joel’s girl friend Agnes joined us in the evening. \u00a0She played her dulcimer and sang a little–a beautiful voice!<\/p>\n Janie wanted to cook dinner for everyone, so we grilled\u00a0salmon, asparagus and corn over the fire. \u00a0We had potatoes cooked on the stove as well as sauerkraut and salad. \u00a0Quite a feast! \u00a0They had never had\u00a0grilled asparagus and it was a hit. \u00a0Both Annalena and Li made beautiful desserts; Li’s was vegan and it was really good. \u00a0Annalena’s was more decadent!<\/p>\n (Note-I added a couple of photos to the end of the previous post for Sunday.)
