Tuesday, I started putting our trip after leaving Djurby into the GPS, and realized that I had made a hotel reservation in the wrong city! \u00a0Lin<\/span>k\u00f6ping is not the same as Lid<\/span>k\u00f6ping! \u00a0That would have been a problem, especially since it turned out that there were no vacancies in\u00a0Lidk\u00f6ping, so we would have arrived with no place to stay.<\/p>\n

\"Map<\/a>Instead, I was able to make reservations in Trollh\u00e4tten, also known as “Trollywood” because it is a center of Swedish film making.<\/p>\n

Later, I went to help Tim with the rock wall for the green house, but he was nearly done for the morning, so I just kibitzed.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon,\u00a0we went for a tour of the parks in Enk\u00f6ping, known as the “City of Parks.” \u00a0They have a beautiful park system that attracts tourists from all over the world. \u00a0Our tour was on a tram that took us throughout the park system. \u00a0Unfortunately, there was no room for Tim, but Annalena went with us, and Tim had a chance to look at things up close at his own pace.<\/p>\n

We caught up with Tim in the butterfly sanctuary<\/p><\/div>\n

The “Tourist Bureau” actually has brochures in the drawers for tourists<\/p><\/div>\n

We finished with a little shopping, coffee and sweets. \u00a0I bought a carved horse which is\u00a0traditional Swedish folk art\u00a0\u00a0originating in Swedish province of\u00a0<\/span>Dalarna.<\/span><\/p>\n

We ended the evening with a delicious quiche dinner and several rounds of wine. \u00a0We were treated to a serenade of the famous Swedish drinking song, “Helan G\u00e5r.” We were told that the song refers to Laurel and Hardy–which led into a discussion and general agreement about\u00a0how great Laurel and Hardy were, especially in Way Out West. \u00a0We had no idea that they were so popular with all generations in Sweden! \u00a0(I’ll teach my brothers the drinking song at our next get together.)<\/p>\n
