Workshop

When we moved from our house, I lost my garage/workshop, and the railing of our condo deck just does not cut it as a workshop.  Jason had a garden shed that was falling apart and was also having an addition put on his house.  This year seemed like a good year to replace the old shed with a new workshop/storage shed.  We agreed to split the cost and the labor, and took a week off in July to get the project started.  We worked many weekends throughout the summer, and it was a real design challenge for two inexperienced carpenters.  We finished all but a few details just as the weather was turning cold.  As it turned out, Jason was hospitalized and passed away before those details got done and before he ever got to use the shop, but he is there in spirit. I will always remember the time spent with him that summer.  If we had waited until next year, it never would have happened.  I’ll finish up the details this spring.
