We took a trip to the other Washington in the spring of 2009. We hit it right during the Cherry Blossom Festival. This was both good and bad. The crowds were much heavier, especially on the weekend, but the cherry trees were beautiful! There is so much to see in Washington, it is impossible to make a dent! One of our favorite spots was President Lincoln’s Cottage. Although it’s a little out of the we would recommend it to anyone travelling to Washington.
