I didn’t expect to be doing another post this soon, but things happen! For those of you who don’t already know, I went to the ER last week with bad stomach cramps. I was admitted for further tests and I had my gall bladder taken out on Friday! I could have put it off until after my Sweden trip but that was risky. Since I was there, I decided to have it done now and postpone my Sweden trip. Modern medicine is really good, and with laparoscopic surgery, the projected recovery time was 2 weeks. I wanted a cushion, but I didn’t want to put the trip off too much, so I rescheduled for April 19 (instead of March 30). I’m doing very well, although I overdid it on Thursday and paid the price Friday and Saturday. Once again, I feel very well, and I will be more careful for the next couple of weeks.
On Thursday, I took Finnegan for grooming–the first time I had driven–stopped at the T-Mobile store, and then went to a play with DIL Katie that evening. Friday, I drove again to my friends’ house for binge watching TV. I was uncomfortable while sitting and watching, but that’s all I was doing, except for the driving. At any rate, I’m feeling much better now. It’s hard to believe it’s only been a week, but I’m very glad I postponed the trip!
The play at Taproot Theater was great! It was the Tony Award winning “Ain’t Misbehavin'” about Fats Waller. We expected it to be a musical but it was actually a “musical revue”– all singing, dancing and music with no dialog. Fantastic and highly recommended! Here is a link: Ain’t Misbehavin
Leslie and I visited Janie today with fresh flowers. There is a cherry tree right near her niche and it was in full bloom! We weren’t aware of it when we picked the spot, so it was a wonderful surprise.

Well that’s about it for now. I don’t expect to post again until after (or during) the Sweden trip–assuming there are no further glitches!
Glad to hear you are on the mend! Take it easy and seeing the cherry tree is a delightful view for you see when visiting Janie!
