This is my 3rd trip to Sweden, the last being in 2014. I’m visiting my friends Tim and Annalena. Tim and I went to high school together. He moved to Sweden and married Annalena in the 1970’s. They are those kind of friends that you can see every 20 years or so and still feel close. Janie and I visited twice before. The flight was long and uncomfortable, but I made it with no major complications. My companion, Gnomey and I stayed at a hotel next to the airport in Stockholm for the first night because we got in late and I didn’t want to make the 1 hour drive in an unfamiliar rental car. We acquired Gnomey on our previous trip and I thought it was a good idea to bring him along when Leslie suggested it.

The drive was very nice with only a couple of wrong turns. I wound through farming country in the spring–very pretty!
